Vendar pa je o tej edinstveni vrsti viskija treba vedeti \u0161e veliko novega. <\/p>\n<p>Bourbon je &#8211; tako kot \u0161kotski in irski &#8211; ameri\u0161ka vrsta viskija. Natan\u010dna zgodovina te pija\u010de ni znana, verjetno pa so jo v 18. stoletju izumili irski in \u0161kotski priseljenci, ki so se naselili v Kentuckyju. <\/p>\n<p>Enako velja za ime burbon. Obstaja veliko zgodb, ki pojasnjujejo izvor tega imena. Ena zelo pogostih je, da je viski dobil ime po ulici Bourbon Street v New Orleansu, kjer so trgovci prodajali velike koli\u010dine viskija po zelo nizkih cenah.  <\/p>\n<p>Leta 1964 je bila destilirana pija\u010da razgla\u0161ena za poseben proizvod Zdru\u017eenih dr\u017eav, ki ga ni mogo\u010de proizvajati v drugih dr\u017eavah. Analogija z viskijem je o\u010ditna: tudi \u010de ima izdelek izrazit okus po burbonu, vendar je bil proizveden v <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whiskyflavour.com\/sl\/blog\/black-velvet-whisky\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Kanadi<\/a>, ga ni mogo\u010de prodajati kot burbon. \u010ceprav je burbon teoreti\u010dno lahko proizveden v Kaliforniji ali New Jerseyju, je ve\u010dina vseh burbonov proizvedena v Kentuckyju. Pode\u017eelska dr\u017eava ima dolgo tradicijo proizvodnje destiliranih pija\u010d zaradi \u010diste vode iz naravnih izvirov.   <\/p>\n<h2>Opredelitev besede bourbon<\/h2>\n<p>Kot je bilo \u017ee re\u010deno, mora biti burbon proizveden v ZDA. Vendar samo to ni dovolj, saj mora imeti viski nekaj zna\u010dilnosti, da se lahko prodaja kot bourbon. <\/p>\n<p>Bourbon mora biti proizveden iz me\u0161anice \u017eit, ki vsebuje vsaj 51 odstotkov koruze. Nato mora pija\u010da zoreti v novih zoglenelih hrastovih sodih (ne pozabite: \u0161kotski ali francoski viski obi\u010dajno zori v \u017ee uporabljenih sodih). Ko burbon pride v sod, v njem ne sme biti ve\u010d kot 62,5 volumenskega odstotka alkohola.  <\/p>\n<p>V mesecih in letih zorenja se volumenski dele\u017e alkohola po\u010dasi zmanj\u0161uje. Ob stekleni\u010denju mora vsebovati ve\u010d kot 40 volumenskih odstotkov alkohola (enako velja za vse druge viskije). <\/p>\n<p>Zanimivo dejstvo je, da nekateri burbonki pred stekleni\u010denjem zorijo le nekaj mesecev. Izjema je tako imenovani &#8220;straight bourbon&#8221;, ki se mora starati vsaj 24 mesecev. <\/p>\n<p>\u010ce vas zanima nakup ameri\u0161kega viskija prek spleta, bodite pozorni na to: V ZDA ima izraz &#8220;blended&#8221; druga\u010den pomen kot v Evropi.
